We're delighted to officially announce we are an Eircode Approved Provider. Today we downloaded the first release of ECAD and ECAF data from Eircode and immediately began to integrate the data into our products. We plan to launch our ECAD enabled services in the week commencing 17th August 2015.
The Freight Transport Association of Ireland (FTAI) believe that Eircode doesn't provide the postcode that its members need. They claim that a courier or parcel delivery person or a flower delivery person won't be able to use an Eircode when trying to complete a delivery.
We're received our application pack from Eircode to become an Eircode Provider and Accredited Encoder. According to the documentation the approval process takes 3-5 working days. The Accredited Encoder status should follow shortly after that. Hopefully we can complete this process and start providing Eircode solutions to our customers by early August. Contact us now to Eircode enable your organisation.
As Eircode is now two days old it is time to reflect on Eircode Launch day and look at the top 5 lessons to be learned from the launch.
In our business you don't get many hugs. People expect to enter their address in a form and move on to the next step of form filling. One of the benefits of adding address validation into this process is to help speed up address entry. Other countries have "official" addresses and postcodes, which makes life much easier. In Ireland, there is no "official" version of your address. However An Post do operate a Postal Address standard. Yesterday Eircode was launched, and over a million were looked up with Eircode Finder which is powered by Autoaddress. Did we get hugs? Sadly no, just a lot of people who weren't familiar with their postal address giving out to Eircode. Yet in order to give out, Eircode Finder was able to provide an Eircode despite the differences in how people record their own address. How? That's what 15 years of providing address solutions in Ireland brings.
Everyone in Autoaddress is proud to be part of the team that created a little bit of history today in launching Eircode, Ireland's new postcode. With the launch over we're now concentrating 100% of our effort on helping businesses implement Eircode enablement programs. We're ready to append eircodes to your existing addresses and our address capture solutions will validate all your future addresses and eircodes at point of entry. Trust the Eircode experts, contact us today to get Eircode enabled and accelerate the benefits they will bring to your business.
We are delighted to announce the preview release of Autoaddress 2.0 on June 15th 2015. This is our most significant release ever as it incorporates Eircodes, and has an entirely new API and JavaScript control. Detailed information is available in our developer centre
