Are you ISO 20022 ready?
Structured addresses are becoming mandatory for SEPA and Swift payments.
Address data in the format your payments need
Autoaddress supports the move towards structured addresses for payment systems with address capture and data structuring built around the ISO 20022 format.

Trusted by forward thinking businesses

Designed for the way ISO 20022 needs addresses
Our Address Capture API returns each address in the hybrid format accepted by ISO 20022, so customer and beneficiary addresses are compliant the moment they’re captured.
Structured at the point of entry
- We return country, town/city and postcode in their own fields, with the rest of the address carried in the address lines, so there's nothing to parse or fix afterwards.
Valid under the SEPA and Swift rules
- The hybrid format remains an accepted address format after the unstructured format is withdrawn, so addresses captured this way won't be rejected.
Returned in the format your systems need
- You choose the fields and layout, and the data will arrive ready to import into your core system or CRM, with non-Latin scripts converted to Latin where needed.
Structure the address
data you already have
We take your existing records as they are, convert each address into the ISO 20022 hybrid format, and return them mapped to your internal systems.
How it works
- We parse each free-text address into its component parts
- Where possible, we identify the country, town/city and postcode in each record
- We flag any records that can't be structured automatically, so you know exactly what needs attention
- We return the data mapped to your fields and field widths, ready to import
We’ve cleansed hundreds of millions of addresses for banks, insurance companies, retailers and government bodies.

Frequently Asked Questions
The original date for SEPA payments was 15 November 2026, but the European Payments Council deferred it on 10 September 2026 and is expected to announce a new date shortly. Swift deferred its own date in August and will confirm a revised timeline by December. Both have said the requirement itself is unchanged, only the timing.
We return addresses in the hybrid format: country, town/city and postcode in their own fields. Hybrid remains valid under the EPC rulebooks after November 2026 and is accepted by Swift.
Swift deferred its structured address migration for cross-border payments in August 2026 and will set a new date by December. The same hybrid format applies, so address data prepared for SEPA is ready for Swift as well.
The Federal Reserve has set November 2027 as the date from which Fedwire will no longer accept fully unstructured addresses. Structured and hybrid formats will both remain valid. Our API and data structuring service cover US addresses.
You send us a sample of your address records and we come back with a breakdown of what structures cleanly, what’s ambiguous and what can’t be resolved automatically, along with a proposed approach and a timeline.
We’re ISO 27001:2022 certified. Data is transferred securely, processed only for the agreed project, and handled under agreed retention and deletion terms.
The ISO 20022 service structures your existing addresses into the hybrid format; it doesn’t check whether each address is correct or deliverable. If you’d also like records verified against official postal data, we can do that as a separate project.
Structured address data is one part of ISO 20022 readiness, and it’s the part we take care of. Mapping that data into your payment messages stays with you and your payments platform.
Our API captures structured addresses in over 250 countries. For structuring existing data into a hybrid format, we currently work with address records in 100+ countries.
